Reflection for Name Design

1.Describe the process when creating your name design project. How was the process helpful or not so helpful for you?
The process for me was a little bit rushed because there were set dates before the project was pushed back because I switched into graphic design a bit late, but the process was pretty helpful. It allowed me to choose from different options I was comfortable with using. Although I only needed to experiment with one colored piece before I was allowed to start on tag board, the many papers show how helpful the process was for me.

2.How does your name design represent you? What components did you use to visually tell the viewer about yourself? (Composition, font style, images, symbols, colors, etc)
My name design was supposed to be more kind of brighter and happier, but because i wanted my name to stand out as clouds, I made the sky darker than I wanted so it made it seem like I was a dark person and it scenery was like night, but i intended it to be day. I really liked the clouds because nature is basically my inspiration, and I wanted my name design to be cute and fun, so I added the hills, the little house on the side and the little birds in black on top of my name even though it is a bit hard to see.

3.How did you create a focal point or emphasis in your design?
I made my name the focal point because i specifically left it as the only thing that was white on the paper. It stood out because it was in the midst of all the dark colors. Out of everything on the page, my name was the only bright part.

4.What was the most difficult part of this project for you? Why?
The most difficult part for me doing this project was probably figuring out the perfect design I wanted and putting in the right amount of things in the background so it didn't draw the attention away from my name, but also adding enough stuff so the paper didn't look too plain.

5.Are you satisfied with your project?   Explain your answer.
I am satisfied at how my project turned out in the end and how my name completely stood out, but I wanted to add more stuff to the actual paper to make it seem more interesting than it looked.

6.If you can change anything about your design, what would you change or do differently?
I wouldn't really change anything, but i would want to add more things to my paper that I didn't think of adding it before to kind of add more of my personality into it. Other than that, I feel pretty good about my name design.
